Mobai wins the North European Cyber Days solution provider competition

On 4 November, Mobai won the ECSO Cyber Solution Days at North European Cyber Days 2026. The win gives us a place at the ECSO Awards Finals in Brussels in June 2027, where we will pitch for the CISO Choice Award against winners from ECSO events across Europe.

Leading European Cybersecurity Technology

North European Cyber Days is run by the European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO) together with the North European Cybersecurity Cluster, the Norwegian Cybersecurity Cluster, VentureNet, the Norwegian Computing Center and NTNU's Center for Cyber and Information Security (CCIS). For two days at Rebel in Oslo, it brought together CISOs, CTOs, public authorities, investors and researchers from the Nordics and the rest of Europe.

Day one was the Cyber Investor Days, where start-ups pitch to investors. Day two was the Cyber Solution Days, where companies pitch to the people who buy and run security: CISOs and other decision-makers. Companies from across Northern Europe and the Nordics competed, and two Norwegian companies won: Mobai won the ECSO Cyber Solution Days, for solution providers, and Qrlay won the ECSO Cyber Investor Days, for startups.

Our pitch

Deepfakes, injected video and forged identity documents make it easier than ever to pretend to be someone else online, or to take over someone's account. Regulation such as eIDAS 2.0 and anti-money laundering rules require banks and service providers to know, with high assurance, who is on the other side.

Mobai builds the technology that answers that question: face recognition, liveness detection, deepfake protection and document verification, built on state-of-the-art AI. We started as a spin-off from NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology), and today we have agreements with more than 70 banks.

Privacy is part of the design, not an add-on. Face matching happens in an encrypted domain, so we can compare faces without ever seeing them. This enables our customers to stay in control of their users' data.

Why European technology matters

Identity data is some of the most sensitive data there is. Where it is processed, and under which laws, matters to banks, public services and the people who use them.
